About LP SmartSide
Made by Louisiana-Pacific, LP SmartSide is wood strands bonded with resins and treated with the SmartGuard process (zinc borate plus wax) to resist rot, decay, and termites. It comes in lap, panel, board-and-batten, and shake profiles, field-primed or in the prefinished ExpertFinish line. It's lighter than fiber cement, which contractors like, and resists hail better.
